A Story
Château de Beaupré represents the history of six generations, four of which have been involved in winegrowing. The estate was purchased by the Barons Double family in 1855, at which time it was a horse relay station and a stopping place for members of the family traveling between their residences in Marseille and Luberon.
In 1890, Émile began the Double family's winemaking history by planting the first vines. His goal was to produce great wines of Provence. A pioneer for his time, he offered deliveries by horse-drawn carriage to promote his production, particularly in Marseille.
In the 1980s, Christian and Marie-Jeanne Double, the third generation, pioneered the vinification and aging of Provence wines in barrels with the creation of the “Collection du Château” cuvées. They worked to develop marketing by opening a wine cellar on the estate, starting international sales, and establishing their wines in fine local and national restaurants
Today, the tradition continues with Phanette, who has become a winemaker on the estate.
Phanette, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, is in charge of winemaking and running the estate, which she converted to organic farming in 2013.
A Place
Château de Beaupré, a vineyard located 10 km north of Aix-en-Provence, in a preserved green setting of 130 hectares of wooded hills, pine trees, and century-old oaks, inhabited by all kinds of wildlife.
Its 18th-century bastide is embellished with natural spring water fountains and neighbors a rustic farmhouse dating back to the 15th century. The 43 hectares of vineyards are located on east-west facing hillsides, sunny and sheltered from the mistral wind by the Trévaresse hills.

An Identity
The Beaupré identity is:
- A long family history: a place of work, expression, but also of life.
- An exceptional site, ideally located, with unspoiled nature and a terroir of exceptional quality.
- Being one of the jewels of Provence wines, being attentive to its environment: a passion shared by successive generations.
